Question: Can I eat fish in pregnancy?

Answer: Yes, there are some fish that you can eat while pregnant. Fish can be a good source of protein and calcium in pregnancy. In general you can eat:

  • shrimp
  • light tuna
  • catfish
  • salmon
  • pollock

Because of dangerous levels of mercury, you will want to avoid these fish:

  • shark
  • swordfish
  • tile fish
  • king mackerel
