The theme for your shower really sets the tone, choose wisely. Think about the preferences of the parents-to-be. Do they have a nursery theme picked out? Perhaps they already know if they are having a boy or a girl? Will this influence how you throw the shower? When all else fails, ask the mom! One of my fondest memories was shopping around for themes with my friend who threw the shower. We also had a punch tasting party the weekend before to pick out favorites!
This doesn't have to be an expensive endeavor. Here are some great ideas, and most are homemade! Even if you don't have a lot of creative ability these tips and ideas will turn your shower room into a festive atmosphere.
Do you dread them? Games are one of the most memorable events from the shower! Keep your theme and your guests in mind. While you might absolutely adore the game how will the mother-to-be feel about having people guess the size of her belly? Or maybe the guys are coming, let them do the silly stuff and let the gals watch. Let the games begin...
