More than the other books available, Gromada goes to great pains to explain what happens if your twins are born prematurely and how that will effect parenting and breastfeeding. She talks about what you need to know about how and when to supplement with formula and how to bring the babies back to breast as they and you are able.
Her detailed information on pumping and milk storage was also very helpful. This was particularly helpful when I needed information on increasing my milk supply. My pediatrician even recommended this book for her patients who were expecting multiple birth children. She said that she found it helpful in the NICU for the nurses to help the mothers in their breastfeeding and pumping attempts.
While this book does discuss breastfeeding in great detail, there is much more to the book that breastfeeding. This book is not a high pressure breastfeeding only book, that the title might indicate.
Not only is Gromada medically qualified as a labor and delivery nurse and lactation consultant, but she is also the mother of breastfed twins. She sprinkles her book with delightful bits of mothering for you and your babies. This book is a must read for anyone expecting twins, triplets or higher order multiples.
